Crushify on Telegram: Who Sees Your Photo Before a Match?

Choose an avatar or photo, see what changes after a match, and understand the first-message rule in Crushify's Telegram dating app.

When a Crushify card shows an avatar instead of a face, the person may already have uploaded a photo. They can choose to reveal it only after you both like each other. That setting answers one of the first questions you might have in this Telegram dating app: what will a stranger see before you decide to match?

Start with the account you want to keep

Open Crushify in Telegram if you want to use your Telegram account. Crushify is for adults aged 18 and over. The web version also offers Gmail sign-in. Telegram and Gmail create separate accounts, so use the same sign-in method when returning to a profile.

If you arrive at an empty discovery screen, check your own card first. Crushify requires a completed profile with either an avatar or a photo before you can browse other people. You can start with an avatar. There is no need to upload a real photo just to meet that requirement.

Choose who can see your photo

Think about what you want someone to know when they first see your card. An avatar lets you introduce yourself without a face photo. If you add a photo, you can make it visible from the start or keep it blurred until a mutual match.

The official Crushify walkthrough illustrates that second choice. A visitor sees a card marked as having a photo, but only the avatar is visible. Once both people like each other, the photo opens and they can chat. If you want to keep a particular photo private even after matching, leave it off your profile.

What a match changes

A like tells Crushify you're interested. A mutual like opens a chat. The first message is text only, and the sender has to wait for a reply before sending another. Pick one thing on the card that you actually want to ask about. A short question about a shared interest gives the other person an easy place to start.

A locked incoming like is different from a blurred profile photo. A photo follows the visibility choice of the person who uploaded it. A regular incoming like can be unlocked with credits or a qualifying plan. A Super Like is already visible at the top of the recipient's list. Seeing who sent a like and deciding whether to match are separate steps.

Adjust discovery or take a break

If the people you see don't match what you're looking for, check the age and distance filters. A verified-photo filter can narrow the pool further. If you want to stop appearing to other people, turn your profile off. Keep that option in mind before choosing account deletion: Crushify says deleting the account also removes its likes and chats permanently.

We checked the project's public walkthrough and FAQ. The cards and conversation in the walkthrough are demo examples. We didn't create a dating profile, contact members or buy credits.
